This shot demonstrates that early episodes used a backdrop that physically incorporated the sponsor’s logo.  The lower spear of the DeSoto trademark (see the image at lower left on the previous page) is visible at the top of this frame; it casts a shadow.  As before, “NBC” has been obscurred on the microphone.
	At left: the sponsor’s logo was superimposed onto Groucho’s desk for the network broadcast.  No logo appeared on film copies shipped to local stations (image at right) for the broadcasts seen after the network run.  (Groucho’s brother Harpo visits in the shot at left.)
